Los Angeles LGBT Center Presents:
The latest installment of the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s ongoing series of provocative community forums, Big Queer Convo, has another great evening planned in our ongoing effort to spotlight the icons of today’s trans community.
Join us as we kick off Trans Pride L.A. 2015 with a very special evening of great
conversation and mischief with the trail blazing Sandy Stone, moderated by her dear friend, Kate Bornstein, two titans of the trans movement.
Sandy is best known as a performance artist, academic theorist and one of the founders of the academic discipline of transgender studies. Ms. Stone’s storied journey is truly a tale of survival and triumph. Her experiences as a trans woman in the 1970s and beyond is certain to entertain and empower every person in the room.
Together these two pioneers of the trans movement make a delightful recipe for a
dynamic evening of topical conversation, as well as a look into our past in order to help us see our future more clearly.
Despite their long-standing friendship, this will be the first time that these two trans icons will share a stage , so you won’t want to miss what promises to be an amazing evening filled with fun, friendship and eye-popping talk that is sure to leave you inspired.
