Conceived in Alaska, born and raised mostly in Los Angeles California, Jessë Valentine Portz (JVP) was introduced to writing by JVP’s parent Wyatt Matthew Portz who is a poet, printer/publisher and artist. Since childhood, JVP has been writing when moved to do so either by heart or by teacher. Trained and licensed as an architect, JVP has also spent time as a bicycle mechanic, fine art painter, philosopher, graphic designer, bassoonist, DJ, landscape architect, vegetarian chef, news editor, network administrator, Macintosh troubleshooter, and researcher to name a few.
JVP lives in Hawaii and writes in between moments of working on high quality architecture and cooking for eir partner of 10 years.
